Team NVR - About Us

Nancy's Note:

Greetings from sunny San Diego, and thank you for visiting my Vacation Rental web-page. I have assembled a variety of outstanding Vacation Rentals in San Diego and Paris that I know you will enjoy. I strive to make each vacation home as comfortable as your own home, not pretentious but nicely furnished, warm and cozy, and romantic!

I've solicited feedback from my guests and listened to their suggestions; Little things like always providing an extra set of keys, having a place to stand up your toothbrush in the bathroom, providing a few toiletries you might have forgotten or special things such as bubble bath, candles, High-Speed Internet connections, jigsaw puzzles, novels, tour books, maps and a binder-full of local information to point you in the right direction to the nearest grocery store, the best restaurants, and a few lesser known attractions that you might otherwise have missed.

I welcome you to contact me with any questions that you may have about my rentals. You can use this site to find out everything you'll need to know about reserving a vacation home with me, as well as making your actual reservation. I look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to two of my favorite cities: San Diego, California and Paris, France.

If you have a question about any of our vacation homes or our vacation destinations of San Diego, California and Paris, France, please use the Contact Us link at the top right. If you would like immediate assistance, please feel free to give us a call at 619-940-4687. We look forward to helping you find exactly what you are looking for!

Nancy

Nancy, Founder
Oddly enough, the events of 9-11 are responsible for me getting into the vacation rental business. I was a flight attendant with United Airlines, which offered 4 year furloughs to keep layoffs at a minimum. After 32 years of international flight, I decided to take the opportunity to try my hand at something new. I returned home and started renting my Paris apartment as a vacation rental. A few months later I decided to rent my San Diego bay condo as well and Nancy's Vacation Rentals was hatched.
Over time, I began to take on requests from other owners to book their vacation homes. In less than 5 years, "trying my hand at something new" grew to a full fledged business with over 25 vacation properties. Now we have over 50 rentals and a fun family business!

Favorite Lunch: Cafe 976, Pacific Beach
Best Sunset: On the balconies of our Riviera Villas condos with a glass of wine
Must Do: Bike riding on the boardwalks in Mission Beach, Mission Bay, and Pacific Beach

Being born in La Jolla, I always felt that San Diego was home and jumped at the chance to return to one of my favorite cities for college. After graduating from the University of California, San Diego, I joined the growing family business (Nancy's my aunt). It's a blast to work with my aunt, uncle, grandma, and sister-in-law on a daily basis! My passions include traveling, SCUBA diving, sailing, hiking and of course, spending time with my wife Gisenyi, our dog, and our crazy cat.
As a travel fanatic, I highly value a local contact wherever I go and am certainly happy to share my local knowledge to help you plan your vacation. San Diego is an incredible city with something for everyone!

Ashley, Marketing Consultant and Promotions Coordinator
Ashley is originally from Toronto, Canada. All of the weirdly placed 'u's in this bio are due to the face that she is Canadian. Don’t  judge. She cannot shake her roots! Embrace the quirky spelling! Following her creative whim, Ashley left Toronto and spent some time living in New York City before moving to the West Coast. In Los Angeles, she met her now husband, Jeremiah. During a romantic weekend in San Diego, they stood by the Ocean Beach Pier and decided they should leave LA immediately. 7 months later, they packed their bags, grabbed their cat, Boo, and headed South. Nancy SCUBA diving with Julian NewsNancy Diving With a Copy of Julian's Local Paper
This is me doing what I love most, SCUBA diving. I posed for Brian with a copy of the Julian News in hopes of making the front page with this shot. It did, along with an article about our diving adventures in Rangiroa, Tahitian Islands. Brian and I often contribute photos and articles to our local paper (and they publish them!).
