Nancy, Founder
Oddly enough, the events of 9-11 are responsible for me getting into the vacation rental business. I was a flight attendant with United Airlines, which offered 4 year furloughs to keep layoffs at a minimum. After 32 years of international flight, I decided to take the opportunity to try my hand at something new. I returned home and started renting my Paris apartment as a vacation rental. A few months later I decided to rent my San Diego bay condo as well and Nancy's Vacation Rentals was hatched.
Over time, I began to take on requests from other owners to book their vacation homes. In less than 5 years, "trying my hand at something new" grew to a full fledged business with over 25 vacation properties. Now we have over 35 rentals and a fun family business!

Jeremy, Guest Services
Being born in La Jolla, I always felt that San Diego was home and jumped at the chance to return to one of my favorite cities for college. After graduating from the University of California, San Diego, I joined the growing family business (Nancy's my aunt). It's a blast to work with my aunt, uncle, grandma, and sister-in-law on a daily basis! My passions include traveling, SCUBA diving, sailing, hiking and of course, spending time with my wife Gisenyi, our dog, and 2 cats.
As a travel fanatic, I highly value a local contact wherever I go and am certainly happy to share my local knowledge to help you plan your vacation. San Diego is an incredible city with something for everyone!

Staci, Guest Services
After growing up and going to college back east I was overdue for a change of scenery. I had recently met a very handsome and charming man who happened to live in San Diego. It was a win-win situation for me. Five years later, here we are raising our family in this beautiful city! I'm happy to have become a member of this growing family business (my husband, Jason, is Nancy's nephew) and am certain that your stay with us will be one of many glorious memories you will make while vacationing San Diego.

Betty, Bookkeeper
Betty, Nancy's mom, is our bookkeeper extraordinaire! She keeps us organized and handles billing, owners' statements and city tax payments. This photo is from Betty's 80th birthday celebration at the end of January, 2008. We threw a French-themed party, complete with Can-Can dancers (Nancy was one of them!), for her and about 50 of her closest friends and family.
Favorite Burger: In-N-Out, Pacific Beach Best view: Cabrillo National Monument, Point Loma Must do: Early morning walk on the beach or bay with a fresh cup of coffee
Brian, Web Guru
Brian designed and built our original website and now helps maintain this current site. Many people said the original was one of the best they've seen and it was his first website he ever built! If you knew him, you wouldn't be surprised as he can do anything he puts his mind to. Many of his original designs are a key component of NVR.com 2.0. Brian is also responsible for most of the photos on our website.
Favorite Fish Market: Point Loma Seafood, Point Loma Best Pictures: Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, wildflower Heaven Must Do: Old Globe Theatre, Balboa Park
Maria, Housekeeping
Maria Myers and her professional cleaning staff, including her son Yain, make sure that your accommodations are spotlessly clean, sanitized, and stocked with supplies. This task is no small feat during the summer months when almost all our rentals have to be cleaned between 11 and 4 on Saturday afternoon! Maria and her staff play an instrumental role in making sure we have the cleanest properties around. The best part of working with her is that she always has a smile - be sure to say hi if you see her!
Robert, Tech Services
Robert (Bobby) is our local tech expert. He has his own company, WehrConnected, and is on retainer to help you with your technical questions and challenges when you can't connect to the internet or get the TV remote or DVD to work. He also rents laptops and printers and can help troubleshoot just about any technical device you have.
FUN PICS
Tour de Lance
Brian and I contacted Lancel Corp. and (amazingly) convinced them of our idea to transform their storefront sign from "Lancel" to "Lance" using a French and American flag as a tribute to the courage and determination of cancer survivor Lance Armstrong. Lance is an inspiration for cancer patients around the world.
The Lancel headquarters is on Paris' famous Boulevard Champs Elysees, near the Arc de Triomphe, where the grueling 21 day Tour de France bike race comes to an end. Don't expect to rent my apartment on that day - we are always there for the finish and a well-deserved vacation!
Nancy Diving With a Copy of Julian's Local Paper
This is me doing what I love most, SCUBA diving. I posed for Brian with a copy of the Julian News in hopes of making the front page with this shot. It did, along with an article about our diving adventures in Rangiroa, Tahitian Islands. Brian and I often contribute photos and articles to our local paper (and they publish them!).
Nancy and Brian's outdoor Julian Wedding
Brian and I have been together since 2000 and married in June, 2008. We live in the quaint and picturesque historic gold-rush town of Julian in the mountains of San Diego with our 3 cats. We enjoy hiking, SCUBA diving in tropical destinations, bicycle riding, and participating in our community theater productions.
Jeremy and Gisenyi's San Diego Wedding
Jeremy and Gisenyi finally tied the knot! We say finally as a family joke because they dated for 8 years, with much of it being long distance due to college. Everyone in the family knew he'd marry her the first time he brought her home. We're all so excited to welcome Gisenyi as an "official" addition to our family - though she's always been a member in our eyes.
