About Us

A note from Nancy:

Greetings from sunny San Diego, and thank you for visiting my Vacation Rental web-page. I have assembled a variety of outstanding Vacation Rentals in San Diego and Paris that I know you will enjoy. I strive to make each vacation home as comfortable as your own home, not pretentious but nicely furnished, warm and cozy, and romantic!

I've solicited feedback from my guests and listened to their suggestions; Little things like always providing an extra set of keys, having a place to stand up your toothbrush in the bathroom, providing a few toiletries you might have forgotten or special things such as bubble bath, candles, High-Speed Internet connections, jigsaw puzzles, novels, tour books, maps and a binder-full of local information to point you in the right direction to the nearest grocery store, the best restaurants, and a few lesser known attractions that you might otherwise have missed.

I welcome you to contact me with any questions that you may have about my rentals. You can use this site to find out everything you'll need to know about reserving a vacation home with me, as well as making your actual reservation. I look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to two of my favorite cities: San Diego, California and Paris, France.

If you have a question about any of our vacation homes or our vacation destinations of San Diego, California and Paris, France, please use the Contact Us link at the top right. If you would like immediate assistance, please feel free to give us a call at 619-940-4687. We look forward to helping you find exactly what you are looking for!

Customer Service is our first priority! All of us at Nancy’s Vacation Rentals are dedicated to providing you with a vacation that you will long remember.... one that you will yearn to return to, time and time again!

Nancy, Founder
Oddly enough, the events of 9-11 are responsible for me getting into the vacation rental business. I was a flight attendant with United Airlines, which offered 4 year furloughs to keep layoffs at a minimum. After 32 years of international flight, I decided to take the opportunity to try my hand at something new. I returned home and started renting my Paris apartment as a vacation rental. A few months later I decided to rent my San Diego bay condo as well and Nancy's Vacation Rentals was hatched.
Over time, I began to take on requests from other owners to book their vacation homes. In less than 5 years, "trying my hand at something new" grew to a full fledged business with over 25 vacation properties. Now we have over 50 rentals and a fun family business!

Favorite Lunch: Cafe 976, Pacific Beach
Best Sunset: On the balconies of our Riviera Villas condos with a glass of wine
Must Do: Bike riding on the boardwalks in Mission Beach, Mission Bay, and Pacific Beach

Kelly, Guest Services
Kelly fell in love with San Diego over 10 years ago while on vacation in this magical city by the sea. Both a Florida Native and a former Coloradoan, Kelly feels very passionate about living near the ocean and the mountains. San Diego is the perfect city for this laid back, hippie girl. She proudly calls herself a resident of California today.

Favorite San Diego Pastime: Hiking a trail with her 2 furry children or paddleboarding on Mission Bay.
Favorite Place for Dinner and Dancing: Cafe Sevilla.
Best Coffee: Cafe Bella in OB.
A San Diego Local’s Secret: Secret trail to Black’s Beach (I’m not telling!)

Steve, Guest Services
Originally from Central California, Steve was relocated to San Diego at the age of 9.
Growing up in San Diego, he is well acquainted with the most popular and hidden sights and activities that the city offers. Steve has previously worked as the front desk manager of the Bahia Hotel in Mission Beach. Moving from the hotel to vacation rentals has been an excellent opportunity for growth and knowledge. Steve lives in the Mission Beach area and enjoys beach volleyball, water sports, baseball and bowling.

MUST SEE/DO : Seaport Village and the Coronado Ferry, Old Town San Diego and Liberty Station Market.
MUST EATS : Iron Pig BBQ, Fat Fish Bar and Grill (Taco Tuesday!), Hodad's Burgers and Pizza Port.

This is me doing what I love most, SCUBA diving. I posed for Brian with a copy of the Julian News in hopes of making the front page with this shot. It did, along with an article about our diving adventures in Rangiroa, Tahitian Islands. Brian and I often contribute photos and articles to our local paper (and they publish them!).

Nancy and Brian's outdoor Julian Wedding
Brian and I have been together since 2000 and married in June, 2008. We live in the quaint and picturesque historic gold-rush town of Julian in the mountains of San Diego with our 3 cats. We enjoy hiking, SCUBA diving in tropical destinations, bicycle riding, and participating in our community theater productions.
