Below you will find details about our home, Left Coast Retreat located in the hills of Bay Ho. 

It is important for you to read all details about your property. We highlight everything you need to know about your vacation rental in our listing, through emails, home manuals, in-home signage and phone correspondence. We want our guests to feel prepared, informed and at ease while staying with us. We are always available if you have questions!

*NOTE: This home is in a residential neighborhood and, as such, is a NOISE SENSITIVE property. Respect must be shown for the property and neighbors at all times. No loud music, parties, and or loud talking outside after 9 pm. Violation of these rules MAY result in immediate eviction from the property per your rental agreement, and/or fines from the San Diego Police. Please review your rental agreement for complete details and rules about your home!

THIS IS A NON-SMOKING PROPERTY

This house just received a major remodel by the owners in June 2015. This is a 1700 square foot, 3-bedroom, 2-bath Custom-Built Home. The views from the Family Room, Kitchen and Living Room are fabulous. SeaWorld (3 miles away) has nightly fireworks in the summer that can be viewed from the backyard. There is an in-ground Jacuzzi, gas fire pit, and an electric BBQ for your use. A fence surrounds the Jacuzzi with locking gates for child safety. All electrical outlets throughout the house are tamper-resistant, and there are smoke/carbon monoxide detectors in all rooms. Each bedroom has USB charging ports for your electronics, and there are four more in the kitchen area. There is a Roku with Netflix, Hulu, and a host of other channels in the Family Room, and Netflix with a DVD player in the Master Bedroom. Wireless Internet is available throughout the house.

The Master Bedroom has a king sized bed, with a two-sink dressing room and large shower. There are two heated towel racks in the bathroom.

The guest rooms have a queen bed in one and two twin beds in the other. The guest bathroom has a smaller shower and an in-step Jacuzzi tub. The tub is designed to give an elderly person a place to sit, but it also works great to sit in and give a small child a bath. [Note: Due to the severe water shortage in San Diego, we strongly encourage you to use the outdoor Jacuzzi for a soak and to soothe tired muscles]. Speaking of children, there is a high chair, booster chair, and a portable pack n play available for your
use as well, and located in the master bedroom closet.

We know how hard it is to travel with children. This home is very family-friendly and is designed with safety in mind. There are towels for the Jacuzzi and beach, as well as boogie boards, beach chairs, sand toys and coolers. There is a large driveway for
off-street parking. The front of the house has a gated entryway with plants and sunshade, and is a great place to sit and relax. The backyard is fully enclosed. Every attempt has been made by the owners to make this house as chemical/allergy free as possible. All of the soaps and products supplied are coconut based and non-toxic. All cleaning products are unscented or have only a mild mint scent.  Not only are the sheets washed after each guest, but also the duvet covers so that all the bedding is fresh and clean. All pillows have dust mite covers on them. The owner’s goal is to have all guests know that every attempt has been made to insure that the house and everything in it is clean and sanitary prior to your arrival!

The house is located on a corner lot adjacent to a main thoroughfare providing quick and easy access to Interstate 5. From there you are only minutes away from beaches, parks, zoo, the airport, and nearly all San Diego attractions. A trolley station is currently under construction just three blocks away. A public transit bus stop is located on the corner.

If you have never stayed in a vacation rental before, we are not a hotel, WE ARE BETTER! We offer many of the same luxuries of a hotel with the comfort and space of home to share with your whole family. Our property owners are our friends and we work with each owner to offer a special, specific and ideal environment for guests to experience and enjoy. All of our homes offer similar amenities so you can expect the same experience whenever staying with us.

With that said, we need you to do your part in helping us maintain each home. Please be attentive to ALL RESPONSIBILITIES as a guest of our home. Trash/Recycling, Check-out duties, Communication to management and Care of the home all help us give each guest and family a home to feel at home in. We appreciate your assistance in making our homes and business unlike any other!

We like our guests to feel at home as soon as they arrive! We provide a ‘starter kit’ to help our guests get settled without needing to rush off to the store.

Our kits include: paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, soap, linens, towels, kitchen sponges, dish soap, laundry detergent and fabric softener, dishwasher soap when applicable, trash bags, either Keurig coffee makers with k-cups or standard coffee makers, extra blankets, sometimes extra pillows, extra sheets-for sleeper sofas, hair dryers, ironing boards, kitchens fully stocked-enough for max occupancy with some extra settings, toasters, some waffle makers, blenders, tool kits, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, co2/fire detectors, and most homes have heat available.

While on vacation, we want our guests to enjoy their vacation to the fullest and we feel in order for our guests to do this, they should also feel informed. Our emails serve to educate you on your vacation rental home, the surrounding area, responsibilities, what to expect and how to get in touch with us. We respect your privacy so our emails help provide you with all you need to know to reference as you please.

In addition, most of our properties have House Manuals detailing specific information about the property, amenities and responsibilities. Not to mention an awesome section on attractions, events, restaurants and more to help guide you during your stay in San Diego!

Reviews

3 night minimum required in the off season. 4 nights are required over Thanksgiving, 5 nights are required over Christmas.
7 night AND a Saturday to Saturday stay is REQUIRED during peak season (June - August). Arrival on Friday or Sunday instead may be an option.

(Please inquire if your group needs accommodations that are different as we may be able to accommodate you!)

Check in time is 3 pm and strictly enforced.
Check out time is 10 am.


Please follow all instructions for your arrival and departure from our home in our email and phone call correspondence. There is signage around the home to assist with use of amenities and questions that you may have during your stay.

Pets are NOT PERMITTED in this home.
